    ARTICLE I.-NAME

 

    1. The name of this organization shall be The Ellwood- Wampum Rod and Gun Club

 

 

    ARTICLE 2. -PURPOSE

 

    2. The purpose of this club shall be to promote better hunting and fishing in this community.

 

       A.  By working for the purifying of the streams and cooperating with other organizations to the same end.

   

        B. By stocking the streams with fish and the fields and forests with game , birds , and animals.

 

        C. By encouraging the observance of game and fish laws and assisting in the prosecution of law violators.

 

       D. By protecting game, birds and fish when weather conditions threaten destruction of the same.

 

 

    ARTICLE III -MEMBERSHIP

 

1.  All members shall be citizens of the United States of America . There shall be two (2) classes of membership - Senior and Junior. Senior members are those over eighteen (18) years of age. They are entitled to all rights and privileges of the club . Junior members shall consist of all persons under eighteen (18) years of age. They are entitled to the same privileges as the Senior members, except they are not entitled to vote on any issues or hold office. All members must be active, which means that a person to be eligible for membership shall be active in fishing, hunting- including the training of hunting dogs -trapshooting, rifle shooting, pistol shooting, or archery , and be of good moral character.

 

2. Senior members can become life member by paying ten(10) times the current annual dues. This must be declared with at least a ten dollar ($10.00) deposit on notice, and the balance to be paid within six (6) months.

 

 

 

ARTICLE IV - OFFICERS

 

 

1.  The officers of this club consist of a President , First Vice-President, Second Vice-President , Financial Secretary, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, and N .R .A. Executive Officer.

 

 

2. DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS

 

        A.  The duties of the President shall be to preside at all meetings of the Club and Board of Directors. and shall be an ex-officio member of all standing committees. He shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Club, He must counter- sign all checks for payment.

 

        B.  The First Vice-President , in the absence of the president , shall preside at all meetings of the Club and perform all other duties normally performed by the President. The Second Vice -President shall perform these duties in the absence of the President and First Vice-President.

 

        C.  The Treasurer shall receive  from the Financial Secretary duplicate deposit slips showing all funds deposited to the /club. He shall disburse same on order of the Board of Directors. He shall counter sign  all checks. His accounts shall at all times be open to inspection of the President , the Board of Directors , and any authorized Auditors. He shall present a written audited report , and present all bills at every regular meeting of the Board of Directors , and prepare reports for such other times as the President or the Board of Directors  may require.

 

        D.  The Recording Secretary shall keep the records of membership, minutes of the Club and Board of Directors' Meetings. The Recording  Secretary shall receive all bills and promptly turn them over to the Treasurer.

 

 

        E. The Financial Secretary shall keep a record of all dues and fees of the Club. He shall collect all funds due the  Club and promptly deposit same in the official depository, turning over to the Treasurer a duplicate deposit slip thereof.

 

        F.  The Corresponding Secretary shall read the Club's incoming correspondence at the regular  and Directors' meetings . He shall also prepare an send all correspondence the President or The Board of Directors deem necessary.

 

        G.  The N. R. A. Executive Office shall be in charge of all N. R. A. matters . He shall be the Chief Range Master for all large and small bore rifles and pistol shooting activity, He shall be a member of all safety committees. He shall be responsible for making all official N. R. A.  reports. 

 

 

        H. In the event of a vacancy occurring in any of the officers, the Board of Directors shall be empowered to elect to said office, a member for the unexpired term of the office.

 

        I.  All elected officers may succeed themselves in their respective offices.

 

 

 

ARTICLE V -BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

1.  The Board of Directors shall consist of a minimum of twenty- two (22) members and a maximum of thirty (30) members, chosen as follows:

fourteen (14) members to be elected to serve as Directors.  Seven(7) to be elected each year to serve for a period of two years. In addition to the elected Directors, all elected officers shall serve as Directors during their tenure in office. All retiring officers shall automatically become members of the Board for a period of (1) one years form the date they retire from office. Twelve (12)members of the Board of Directors shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of conducting the business of the club.
